Soon the residents of Conakry will benefit from the public transport offered by Blueline Guinea.
The rehabilitation of the railway line Fria, which connects the center of Conakry to its suburbs, started on May 4 and will end in a few weeks. The aim is to circulate a passenger train after more than 3 years of interruption. The return to service of this line will be a real breakthrough for thousands of people that face traffic congestion daily to reach the city of Conakry.
The rehabilitation work of the line is proceeding on three main areas:
-Construction Of travelers stations Petit Bateau, and Kipé Keitaya;
-Improvement and consolidation of the railway;
-Safety measures for level crossings
Over a hundred of Guinean workers are working at the construction site of the railway Fria. It will be operational next month for the satisfaction of the population.
