The Bluezone of Kaloum has been chosen to be the set of the preparatory talk show of the 7th edition of the 72 hours of the book. This event, which aims to make Conakry the African capital of literature, will be held from April 23rd to the 25th, in the heart of the Blue Zone.
For its initiator, Sansy Kaba, this 7th edition will consist of literary programs, round tables on the future of the book in Guinea, exhibitions, discussions with professionals on Guinean and foreign literature.
The star of Cameroonian football, the international Samuel Eto’o has promised to make the trip to present his cartoon on the environment.
This year, the Ivory Coast is the guest of honor of this celebration. The Ivorian Minister of Culture will travel to Guinea to celebrate. As for Guinea, this festival is an opportunity to officially announce its candidacy for designation as World Book Capital.
The 72 hours of the Book have received support from the French Institute of Guinea, the Embassy of France in Guinea, the United Nations, UNDP and UNESCO.
