As part of the 7th edition of the 72 hours of the book held on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of April, the literary club of the CCFG in collaboration with Guinea Culture and the publishers Harmattan Guinea, hosted the grand finale of the competition ” reading aloud ” for elementary students.
Promoting reading, this is the goal that has set the literary club Guinean French Cultural Centre. 10 out of 200 schools were selected to participate in this grand finale which took place last saturday at the Bluezone. More than a hundred Blueliners attended this premiere which held all its promises.
Applicants had to read aloud for 3 minutes in public a short text of their choice taken from a work of fiction. These children under the age of 12 have amazed the public of the Bluezone by their intonation, articulation but also the fluidity of the texts. This first edition was won by Fatoumata BARRY Lamarana, of the Primary school of Hamdallaye.
For the organizers, this first edition of the contest ” The little champions of reading ” was more than a success and they seek help from partners to continue the adventure.
