Twenty youths gathered on the Bluezone to review the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) in Guinea and propose new objectives for sustainable development within the context of the National Youth Forum of the Copenhagen Consensus on post 2015 (POST-2015 Consensus Youth Forum).
Engaged in the process of post-2015, the Guinean youth is actively involved in the international development agenda to improve the living conditions of the population.
The Bluezone, which has become the hot spot for the youth of Conakry, hosted the conference to pursue efforts undertaken. Many topics were discussed including the fight against poverty, improving maternal health, and the empowerment of women.
For Madjou Thierno Diallo, Assistant to the United Nations Volunteer Program, “to participate in this global conversation is a duty for every engaged citizen. Guinea aims to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. With the awareness of today’s youth and a Bluezone which provides tools and equipment for us to get together, things will go in the right direction. “
